Features of the RTW TM3 Primus Loudness Meter
Since the Primus grabs both its power and audio signal via the MicroUSB port, this sleek little device can simply sit next to your keyboard. It can be set to register stereo and 5.1, and it can also mix down the surround signal and send it back out via the S / PDIF output. The Primus has a 4.3-inch colour touch screen to clearly control and scroll through what RTW calls 'Instruments'. The long list includes TruePeak / PPM, Moving Coil, Magic LRA, Vectorscope, RTA and Correlator. All of this will be familiar territory for experienced studio technicians, for whom the Primus has been specifically designed.
