The Boss TU-88 is a tuner for guitar and bass players on the road, which offers needle-accurate tuning, and has a headphone output with a speaker simulator for checking effects, like Boss's effect pedals. It also features a metronome with various styles, rhythms and volume control.

The TU-88 has three different tuning modes: chromatic, guitar and bass guitar. Other practical features include a flat tuning function and an Accu-Pitch function, which produces a sound signal once you reach the right tuning. A Mix In port allows you to jam along with an external sound source, like a CD player or an iPod.
