For years now, Imperialstar kits have maintained pride of place in the Tama line-up, and the format has retained immense popularity due its excellent sound, durable, high-grade build quality and the fact that it offers a complete a comprehensive set-up. Since this is the Jazz-configured version, it comes with an 18" x 14" kick drum at the core, surrounded by a 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" tom, a 14" x 13" floor tom and a 14" x 5" snare. A three-piece Meinl cymbal pack, a full hardware pack, a kick drum pedal, and a drum throne also come included, so all you'll need to bring is a little skill and your preferred set of sticks. Each drum shell has been finished with a tight Burgundy Walnut Wrap.

While the Imperial-Series has been going for a while, it's also continually renewed and improved and these adjustments are usually most obvious in the stands and shell hardware. This is the freshest generation, so it comes with double-braced stands for enhanced stability; a more refined set of adjustable floor tom legs; slimmed-down lugs; and shell edges that have been rounded with exacting precision to ensure optimum shell-to-head contact, adding openness to the warmth of the poplar shells and providing a flexibly wide tuning range. To finish an already more-than-solid set-up, you get a 14" hi-hat, 16" crash and 20" ride.
