The JBL PRX418S is an 18-inch passive subwoofer that produces the trouser-ruffling - yet defined - bass we may expect from JBL. Naturally, a subwoofer is always accompanied by a proper full-range speaker and this sub is an excellent match for several speakers from JBL's 400 series such as the compact PRX412M for vocal and acoustic amplification, the PRX415M for occasions that require more power, or the PRX425M to double the power of the 415M - it doesn't really matter, the PRX-418S subwoofer is always going to have its say in bringing the bass to the bellies of your audience.

The exceptionally rugged PRX-418S

JBL have fitted the high-quality cabinet of the PRX 418S with excellent protective features. The driver is guarded by an extremely strong grille and screen, while the 18mm thick housing is covered with a layer of rugged DuraFlex splatter lacquer to prevent scratches. Through extensive tests JBL showed that these features don't just look good, they also help to keep the speaker functioning under extreme conditions and abuse. Additionally, JBL's outrageous 100-hour test proved that the 400 series is excellently capable of producing high volumes for long periods of time.

All in all, the PRX418S is a very powerful and reliable JBL product that is perfect to supply your club, DJ setup, stage or other venue with a proper dose of bass.
