Allmänt

This compact speaker set by RCF is nice and compact, but don't let that fool you, because the EVOX 5 definitely packs a punch! The set comprises a subwoofer and a satellite speaker. The satellite speaker is based on the line array principle, which makes it possible to achieve a broader range. Just like we're used to with RCF, these speakers have a fresh, punchy sound. The satellite and the sub can also be nested together during transport to make one compact unit, which also helps to protect the satellite. The set comes with a distance rod and a speaker cable.

RCF EVOX 5: Under the Hood

The subwoofer forms the base of the EVO5 speaker set, and the satellite speaker is mounted to it with the included distance rod. The subwoofer is equipped with a solid 10-inch woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil. The satellite speaker features five 2-inch speakers that have been mounted so that they work as a line source. This makes it possible to greatly expand the range while using less power.

Amplification

This system is powered by a strong amplifier with a 800W peak. The speakers are bi-amplified, which means that they each have their own separate amplifier for optimal performance. The system is also equipped with a DSP unit which (among other things) sets the crossover point that ensures that the system won't be overloaded.
