Allmänt
Since the Peavey Classic 30 112 is an homage to Hartley Peavey's first guitar amps, it's only befitting that this tube amp combo is dressed in a similar vintage-tweed jacket and adorned with a brown speaker cloth and a chromed control panel with black chickenhead knobs. The heart of this amp is made up of three 12AX7s in the preamp, a quartet of EL84s in the power amp and a 12" Celestion Midnight 60 speaker, all for a total of 30 Watts of pure tube-driven warmth and dynamics.
The Peavey Classic 30 112: From Vintage to Modern
The two channels of the Peavey Classic 30-112 share a 3-band EQ and a genuine spring reverb effect. While the Normal channel straightforwardly features a simple volume control to give flawless cleans a little bit of a rougher edge, the Lead channel has both a pre and post-gain control to help you shape up anything from bluesy crunch to modern high-gain overdrive. To bring out your solos even better, there's a boost function on-board as well. This boost carefully cranks up the gain for a tighter and richer sound.
FX Loop & Footswitches
Right next to the power button on the control panel sits the FX loop Send and Return, which can be used to hook up your go-to effect pedals while, on the back of the Classic 30-112, you can find an output for an optional 8 or 16 Ohm speaker cab for when you truly need a massive wall of sound. Finally, there's the footswitch input which lets you plug in a two-button footswitch so you can remote switch between both channels and (de)activate the reverb effect.
