Allmänt
Peavey's legendary high-gain 6505 sound is finally available in a more affordable 1x12" 60W combo format. The 6505 Plus 112 shares most of its features with the 6505+ head but in addition, has real spring reverb and a 12" Sheffield speaker on board. Known for its immaculate cleans, rough-edged crunch and gain-overloaded distortion, the 6505 Plus undoubtedly has a special place in the heart of many rock, metal and hardcore guitarists and, with five 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6GC power amp tubes for 60 Watts of authoritative tone, we totally understand why.
Features of the Peavey 6505 Plus 112 Combo
The Peavey 6505+ 112 has two independent channels (Rhythm and Lead) and both come with their own 3-band EQ, Pre Gain (Overdrive) and Post Gain (Volume) controls. To turn your cleans into dazzling distortion, the Rhythm channel also has a Crunch boost while the master section includes a spring reverb effect plus resonance and presence. The latter two are basically an extra set of tone controls to sculpt the bass and trebles in the power amp and both the channels and the Crunch boost can be remotely switched using an optional 2-button footswitch.
All The Ins & Outs
Round the back of the 6505 Plus 112, you can find a number of diverse inputs and outputs. There's an FX loop Send and Return to help you integrate your effects pedals or effects processor, as well as two speaker outputs of which one is taken up by the internal speaker. This means you can either freely hook up a second cab or disconnect the internal speaker first to be able to use two external units. For both, the impedance can be switched to 4, 8 or 16 Ohms. Right next to the footswitch input sits Peavey's MSDI XLR output (Microphone-Simulated Direct Interface), which can be connected to a mixer or recorder to do away with the need for a miked up speaker.
