Allmänt
Fender have been building vintage Telecasters since 1952 but if you ask us, the '52 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic from the Custom Shop Time Machine Collection is one of the most tasteful models to date. To give guitarists that sought-after, all-vintage look and feel, the Blonde finish has not only been treated to an Aged Nocaster tint, but has been given a Super-Heavy relic treatment to carve out the details. That, plus a handful of mods and various familiar specs, instantly turns this modern-vintage Tele into a model made for pros.
The Time Machine: Supreme Playability & That Classic, Played-In Feel
The 1957 Soft V profile of the nitro-lacquered maple neck provides a ton of grip during rhythm parts and note bends, while the fretboard radius graduates from 7.25 to 9.5 inches to ease any bends played higher up the neck. Meanwhile, this Fender '52 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic treats your left hand to twenty-one narrow-tall frets lined along the length of a maple fretboard, giving you the played-in of any much-loved model from the golden days.
Versatile Amplification of that Authentic Twang
So you can bring out that famous Tele-twang as bright, tight and sublime as possible, the bolt-on neck has been joined to a two-piece body made of specially selected ash. What's interesting to note is that the three brass saddles of the vintage-style bridge also help out here, while the two hand-wound '50/'51 Blackguard Custom Shop single-coils whip up that famously flexible tonal palette as soon this already-rare guitar is plugged into an amp. In terms of controls, you're looking at a standard 3-way pickup switch, a volume pot and - instead of a tone pot - a blend pot that allows you to mix the sound of the both pickups any way you want while the switch is in position 1. Besides a certificate of authenticity, this top-shelf Tele comes with a deluxe hardshell case and a carry strap.
