Allmänt
Fender didn't take the easy road when it came to reproducing this 1970 Stratocaster. To make this Relic version, they actually used the same techniques and tools that were available back then! What's even more impressive is that they succeeded in producing an instrument with an authentic look, feel and sound. This black version has a rosewood fretboard and has undergone the 'Relic' treatment. This means that the body, neck and the hardware show signs of light wear and tear and ageing,as if this instrument has been played for years. Everything about this Fender oozes '70s style, from its large headstock to its American vintage bridge.
Fender 1970 Relic Stratocaster: versatile sound
The body is of made of select alder and has solid contours for a comfortable feel. Thanks to the 1969 U profile on the quarter sawn maple neck and a modern 9.5 inch radius, it's comfortable to play too. The famously versatile Strat sounds are produced by three hand-wound Fat '60s single-coil pickups. The middle pickup has reverse polarity to prevent the undesirable 60-cycle hum when the switch is in positions 2 and 4. An American Vintage synchronised tremolo allows you to add subtle vibrato effects to your playing. In short, this modern top-quality Fender Stratocaster offers you the sound and feel of a vintage instrument.
