Once again, Bax-shop proves to be the right place to be looking for a Fender guitar, as we stock an exceptionally wide range of original Fender Stratocaster electric guitars. The Fender American Standard Stratocaster is based on the classic Strat model, and thus offers the same famous high-quality sound, comfortable body and terrific looks. It offers a choice between versions with a rosewood or a maple fretboard. This particular guitar has a rosewood fretboard for a slightly warmer tone that is rich on trebles. Additionally, the Strat comes in numerous finishes, including this rather tasteful Olympic White. This delivery includes a reliable case, a guitar cable, guitar strap and a polishing cloth.

The American Standard edition: classic sound and looks

Naturally, Fender answers to its customers' wishes and subsequently fitted the American Standard Strat with new single-coil pickups: Custom Shop Fat '50s. These pickups produce a fat fifties sound, yet are by no means inferior to their modern counterparts as Fender provided extra bass, milder mids and a reverse-wound middle pickup to ensure hum-free mid positions. Other vintage touches on this guitar are the foxed knobs and pickup covers. Modern synthetic components will remain their pristine white colour, despite their age, but the weathered-looking hardware on this version make you feel like your holding a trusty, vintage Strat.

American Standard Stratocaster: modern improvements

The Strat has been virtually unaltered since its introduction in 1954, but Fender has kept it up-to-date, providing the neck of the American Standard Stratocaster with 22 medium jumbo frets, a two-way Truss Rod and a flatter 9.5-inch fretboard radius. The vintage-style tremolo bridge has also been modernised with just two mounting points so that the guitar retains its tuning better. New friction-free steel bridge saddles and a solid steel block add more tone and sustain and the staggered machine heads allow for optimal pressure on the top saddle without the need for a second string guide, so there is less friction and a more stable tuning.
