Fazley Outlaw Series Maverick Plus HH Green Electric Guitar with Gig Bag

My wife bought me this as a Christmas present. This is a decent guitar, and the compromises that Fazley have made to hit their price point are very sensible. First off, it looks awesome. I love that it isn't a straight copy of a fender - it gives it its own vibe. The finish is really cool, and the woodwork is all really well done. The neck fits its pocket perfectly. The neck itself is great, with decent fretwork. I love the satin feel of the roasted maple. The nut on my one is well cut as well. When it arrived, all it needed in terms of a setup was to slightly lower the action on one side to suit my tastes and to tweak the intonation for a couple of strings. I'm sure a lot of people will replace the tuners, but honestly you don't need to - they are fine. The pickups however are a little lacklustre (to my ears at least). You can certainly get a decent sound out of them through a good amp, but they do lack any high end sparkle. And I feel this tends to make them feel a little generic. They remind me of the pickups that came in cheap 90s epiphone guitars. If that's your thing, good for you- but I think swapping in a set of reasonably priced Alnico PAFs would elevate this guitar to greatness. In fact, I would rewire the whole thing and swap out the pots, caps and switch. But overall, this is a great guitar for the money. I'd definitely recommend this, and would consider buying other guitars from the range.

Ero scettico su questo strumento, avevo sentito il suono e.. ok ho un problema di dipendenza con le chitarre offset ma il prezzo suggeriva che mi sarei ritrovato tra le mani uno strumento scadente; spoiler: quanto mi sbagliavo.
Il pacco è arrivato e lì per lì sembrava un errore, l'imballaggio era talmente fatto bene che mai prima d'ora mi era stato spedito - gratis peraltro - qualcosa così a prova di urto.
Ve la faccio breve, fatta eccezione per l'humbucker al ponte che è un po' privo di personalità (a mio gusto) è a mani basse il miglior acquisto fatto come rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Che sia il primo strumento o l'ennesimo da inserire nella vostra rastrelliera.. fatevi questo regalo.
