Blue have devised a highly compact microphone for devices with a Lightning connector and iOS 7. The Blue Mikey can be used for live recordings, vocals, instruments, audio for videos, podcasts and interviews. You can already use your iPad or iPhone for simple recordings on location, but with the Blue Mikey you can achieve CD quality!

This compact microphone is based on the same technology as the Blue Yeti and Snowball microphones. Both have received various awards! With this microphone you can count on crystal-clear recordings, as Blue have fitted it with a number of smart features – think of the direct jack input on top of the mic. This way, directly recording instruments is made possible. This Mikey features two precisely aimed condenser microphones that ensure stereo audio. You can select how sensitive the mic needs to be during recordings - turn the low-gain on during concerts and rehearsals, and the high-gain during meetings, conferences and interviews! Do you find setting the right level difficult because of a varying sound level? You can choose to let the Blue Mikey record with an automatic sound level sensor, so that you'll always have the right level selected, without distortion.

The right direction

The Mikey can rotate in seven settings, so that the mic quickly picks up the right signals. It can rotate up to 230 degrees. During concerts and rehearsals, the microphone might be knocked over, which is why Blue have featured it with an extra large grille. Its sensitive interior will therefore also be protected.
