Do you want to learn to play guitar? That's a wise choice indeed, and you certainly aren't alone! The question is: where do you begin? Of course, the best option would be to get everything you need in one purchase so that you have all of the handy accessories necessary to start playing right away. This solution has a name: Yamaha F310P2Ws starter pack for steel-string guitar. With such a big name, you're probably expecting a big package, and that's exactly what you're going to get (but for a small). For starters you'll get a full-size guitar with steel strings, plus an extra set of strings. Additionally, you'll get a tuner, a guitar strap, a guitar stand, picks, and an instructional DVD.
The guitar
This guitar is referred to as a "Dreadnought" model, which means it has deep bass tones and can reach loud volumes. The fretboard is made of rosewood, which contributes to the warm tones of this guitar. This is truly a well-rounded instrument, ideal for both soloing and accompanying, making it especially great for beginners who are just starting to develop their own style.
Focus
As previously mentioned, this is a full-sized model, which is more common in steel-string guitars than 3/4 or 2/4 models. The size is great for older players especially, but younger players need not worry! This is a guitar that will grow with you and your style, giving you the advantage of starting out on a traditional-sized guitar, so there's never a need to make that pesky transition to a larger model. It's a great fit for anyone from about the age of 10 and over! With this starter pack you'll begin with all the essentials in hand: a handsome, warm steel-string guitar, extra strings, picks, a tuner, a guitar strap, a guitar stand, and an instructional DVD.
