Are you looking for a high-grade delay for your Lunchbox frame? Check out the Eventide DDL-500, an advanced digital delay in the familiar API-500 format, which produces a remarkable analogue sound. Despite its modest size, this module offers plenty of settings. It's even possible to manually adjust the delay time from exceptionally short (0.11 seconds) - a great boost for vocals - to an extensive 160 seconds.

DDL-500: As Analogue as Possible

When Eventide developed the DDL-500, they aimed for a sound that was as analogue as possible. As such, the module contains a large number of analogue components and digital circuitry has only been included where absolutely necessary. The low-pass filter, +20dB gain, feedback, insert for external signals, relay bypass and soft saturation clipping are all analogue. The delay processor itself offers a 24-bit resolution and an adjustable sample rate that ranges from 12 to 192 kHz.

Clear Control Layout

All of the delay's essential parameters can be effortlessly controlled using the front-mounted knobs and buttons. LED indicators clearly show you which functions are activated, and which information is visible on the DDL-500's display. It's possible to use an external LFO to add some flavour to your delay, creating fascinating flange and comb filter effects. More advanced system settings, meanwhile, can be altered using the system mode, accessed by pressing down the delay button for three consecutive seconds.
