The SR300EL electric bass guitar by Ibanez is a great instrument for bass guitarists who are looking for a versatile instrument to add to their collection (or get it started!). This model is part of the famous Soundgear series, and just like its right-handed counterpart it has a slim body and a comfortable bolt-on neck. Of course, that would all be pretty useless without the pickups. This Iron Pewter bass features two PowerSpan humbuckers that can be switched in a jiffy, and you can easily adjust the timbre with the active three-way EQ.
Colourful palette
Zoom in on the PowerSpan Dual Coil passive humbuckers, and you'll see right away that they give you access to tons of different colours that you can mix and match to your heart's content. The pickups ensure a strong signal that picks up trebles well without leaving our your bass notes, and it gets even better when you throw the Power Tap switch in to the mix, which allows you to change your humbuckers into single-coils or to mix them together for bright highs and thunderous lows. Thanks to the addition of the EQ, you can then adjust your sound even further.
A Lively Lefty
Despite its long scale length, the Ibanez SR300EL is easy to manage. The neck consists of five parts of maple and handles comfortably thanks to the 24 medium frets on the rosewood fretboard. Furthermore, thanks to the accu-cast B120 bridge, you can count on the SR300EL to stay in tune and to deliver all of your notes clearly. Not only that, but the bridge also makes it easier to change your strings, making this an ideal first guitar.
