The Yamaha PSR-S950 keyboard sets the musical bar incredibly high. This uncompromising keyboard has a gigantic collection of instrument voices, effects, SFX kits and accompaniment rhythms on board, all with an impressively natural sound. Every singer can take the lead, thanks to the Vocal Harmony and Vocal Cancel functions. The Super Articulation and Mega Voice technology guarantee realistic instrument behaviour and authentic sound characteristics. The 61 touch-sensitive keys offer excellent control.
Mega Voices and Super Articulation of the PSR-S950
Yamaha has made faithful sound reproduction a high priority. The Super Articulation and Mega Voice systems deliver realistic sound reproduction. Distinctive tonal qualities are meticulously reproduced, and expressive nuances are automatically and realistically added to your playing. Open and dampened string sounds, hammer and slide effects, plucking and cabinet sounds are all incredibly realistic.
Vocal Harmony2 and Vocal Cancel
Vocalists are also in the right place with this keyboard. The PSR-S950 has many different functions that every singer can benefit from. Connect a microphone in the blink of an eye via the mic input. Work with diverse effects and microphone settings thanks to Vocal Harmony2. Yamaha has a large selection of presets installed so you can experiment to your heart's content. With Vocal Cancel you can silence vocals and solos on pre-existing tracks so you can sing along karaoke-style with instrumental accompaniment.

Het is een keyboard met hoogwaardige styles / voices en mogelijkheden. Vooral de realdrums is een meer waarde. De efx zoals reverb en EQ en audiosamples bij de styles maken een ware sound van je tracks.
De PSR S 950 is makkelijk te bedienen en overzichtelijk en heeft een mooie afwerking.
Het werken met styles en voices maken doe je in een handomdraai en er word op tutorials goede uitleg gegeven. Het werken in combinatie met audiostyles en midi maken het echt interessant om je eigen songs te crieeeren. Het apparaat is nu uit het assortiment, maar de PSR S 970, de opvolger dus, zou ik als een aanrader willen adviseren!

Mooi overzichtelijk ingedeeld, piano sounds zijn fantastisch.

De afwerking is zoals altijd bij Yamaha prima: degelijk en functioneel en de bediening van de vele functies is overzichtelijk en logisch opgebouwd. De plaatsing van de USB stick aan de achterzijde van het keyboard is misschien het enige minpuntje wat voor verbetering vatbaar is in het ontwerp.
Wie kiest voor de S950 kan niet alleen voor vele jaren vooruit maar kan ook rekenen op een uitstekende gebruikersondersteuning en uitbreidingsmogelijkheden. Yamaha is een merk met reputatie en geeft vertrouwen en maakt dit in vele opzichten waar.
