The Yamaha DTX542K LTD is a version of the DTX542K digital drum set available for a limited time only. The difference is in the rack: instead of the RS502, the DTX524KLTD hs the RS500, which is an earlier version that we also offer with the DTX540K. The advantage of this difference is a friendlier price! Additionally, this drum set features realistically-reacting and quiet SP pads and the new and improved expanded DTX502 sound module.

The XP70 pads of the DTX542K

Compared with the DTX522K, the DTX542K offers XP tom pads rather than the TP70s, meaning that the toms are now equipped with the ultra quiet Textured Cellular Silicone, just like the snare. This means that when you practice with your headphones the attacks will really, truly be quiet for your surroundings. Furthermore, this drum kit is equipped with a hi-hat and cymbal pads with three touch-sensitive zones so you can recreate the different cymbal sounds you get from an acoustic set.

The sound module

The DTX502 sound module is the heart of the Yamaha DTX524K LTD. It has 32-voice polyphony had 691 drum sounds on board, divided amongst a divers selection of acoustic and electronic drum kits. Additionally, you have a number of practice programs, a digital effects processor, a built-in sequencer and a USB connection. The latter offers you the possibility of sending your drum playing as MIDI information to your computer.
