Allmänt

Yamaha's 500 series is one of best-selling western guitars ever, and it has the incredibly advantageous price/quality ratio we've come to expect from the reliable Yamaha. As the successor of this entry-level series, the 500II has a more dynamic preamplifier and a more refined appearance. The electro-acoustic Yamaha CPX500II NT is a natural jumbo-sized steel-string guitar with a full, warm sound and rich lows. A shorter scale length and slim neck ensure optimal playing comfort, while the cutaway makes it easy to reach the highest frets. Thanks to the System65 preamp, the amplified sound is tight and clear, making the CPX500II a rewarding instrument for any ambitious beginner.

The acoustic and amplified characteristics of the CPX500II NT

When you use the CPX500II NT amplified, on stage for example, the sound is picked up by the bridge pickup and amplified through the preamplifier. You can adjust the low and mid-tones in detail with the 3-band equalizer, and with the AMF mid-tone switch you can adjust the mid-tones even more precisely to avoid acoustic feedback. The built-in tuner is another handy addition to this guitar that makes it quick and easy to get your instrument in-tune and ready to perform. Luckily the electronics of the CPX don't influence the beautiful acoustic sound quality. You can expect a balanced acoustic sound thanks to the spruce top, and extra clarity from the nato sides and back. The jumbo-sized body adds an extra dose of sultry lows to complete the amazing acoustics of this guitar.
