Yamaha's A series consists of eight electro-acoustic western guitars. These high-quality instruments for the ambitious guitarist all feature a solid spruce top and a cutaway. The concert body of the Yamaha AC3R features solid rosewood sides and back, an ebony fretboard and an extraordinarily comprehensive System 63 preamplifier. The A guitars are typically available with either a vintage sunburst or a natural finish, but this exclusive translucent black version with an elegant white pickguard and bindings is a special limited edition!

The acoustic AC3R

The acoustic Yamaha AC3R produces an especially bright, powerful sound. This is thanks to the outstanding resonance provided by the solid top, sides and back of the body, which are the most important factors in obtaining loud volume, while the spruce wood brings a balanced, clear timbre to the mix. The concert-sized body and the ebony fretboard add clarity and directness, and the rosewood brings out deeps basses and lively trebles. With its delightful sound, excellent playing comfort and attractive appearance, this model is a perfect fit for the A series.

Live and in the studio

The Yamaha AC3R is, of course, an outstanding live and studio guitar. An external microphone is no longer necessary for high-quality recordings, because the SRT pickup registers the sound from each string individually so the System 63 preamp can produce an accurate sound. The preamp can simulate three condenser microphones with the option of adjusting the pickup/microphone ratio along with the distance of the microphones from the guitar and the resonance. A tuner with display is also at your disposal.
