Once again Tama delivers a great-looking snare drum with this LGM1465 from their Sound Lab Project series. This 2014 Limited Edition snare is a real eye-catcher, thanks to its beautiful Satin Mocha finish. Made up of 13 plies of maple and an outer ply of Tamo Ash, the shell of this 14-inch snare drum is 10 mm thick, giving it excellent resonance and a bright, powerful sound. Its shell depth of 6.5 inches gives this snare a surprisingly great dynamic range, with great mids and highs. The snare wires, which are not unimportant on a snare drum, has 20 steel strands, allowing even the most subtle patterns to really shine. As you probably expect from Tama, all of the snare drum's chrome hardware is of very high quality. The snare drum is delivered with an Evans G1 coated batter head in combination with an Evans Hazy 300 resonant head.
