An ideal combination that can now be bought in one bundle.
SE Electronics Magneto and RF-X: a great combination
This versatile condenser microphone isn't just well suited for vocals. It can handle a maximum sound pressure of 140 dB SPL, making it ideal for loud sound sources like drums, percussion and brass instruments. Its frequency range leads from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, so that low tones aren't an issue either. Just like most microphones in its price range, it has a cardioid pickup pattern.
RF-X reflection filter
As said before, this reflection filter is often used to isolate the sound source from the space in which it is recorded. This filter can easily be mounted on a standard microphone stand. Subsequently, the microphone can also easily be mounted in the middle of the filter. You can adjust the distance between the filter and the microphone to determine the amount of isolation.
