In many ways, the Roland RP301 resembles an acoustic piano. Besides an ultra-realistic piano sound, this digital Roland instrument features a solid rosewood housing, gold-coloured pedals and a retractable lid. The name is aptly chosen, as the engineers have really gone all out to imitate the world's finest grand pianos in minute detail. This remarkable system provides a natural tone decay and allows you to accurately control the timbre. This means there are no audible 'steps' when you create a subtle difference in sound level. The pedals feature a similar stepless control, enabling you to determine the sustain, for instance, just like you would on a regular piano.
