Allmänt
Orange's head designer Adrian Emsley came up with the Tiny Terror, a 15-watt tube amp the size of a handbag, back in 2006. It was an instant success, and other names followed the British brand's example by manufacturing their own 'lunchbox' amps. Ten years later, Orange is commemorating their success in the form of this Limited Edition Shiny Terror Half Stack, of which only 110 are available world-wide. Its polished stainless steel housing looks particularly classy set against the unique 2x 10-inch cabinet in British Racing Green.
Tone icon
In a documentary made especially for the occasion, Emsley explains how proud he is of the development and production of the Tiny Terror lunchbox amp. This limited model is wired point-to-point by hand and boasts two ECC83/12AX7 tubes in the preamplifier and two EL84s in the power amp. With a selectable capacity of either 15 or 7 watts, you can always utilise the head's total power by turning it up full blast. As far as operating it is concerned, it's pretty straightforward, as we've come to expect from Orange, with volume, tone and gain controls on the front panel. Plug in on the front and use one of the speaker outputs to connect the included cab. Turn the knobs up all the way to truly experience how much power the Tiny Terror can deliver.
Loyal workhorse
Orange's technical director used to work at Celestion, which explains how the Tiny Terror's speaker cabinet is capable of delivering all that power. He equipped it with two 10-inch Celestion G10 Alnico Gold speakers and an open back, which allows the sound to 'breathe'. Finally, its British Racing Green housing with a beige, woven speaker cloth matches the Tiny Terror head to a T. Act fast if you want to be the proud owner of one of these exclusive Half Stacks!
