The MF Boost Minifooger offers the authentic Moog sound in a compact stomp box for guitarist and bass guitarists. The MF Boost is a booster with two fantastic signal paths: a clean and articulated VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) and a delectably clipped OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier). Team this unique design up with your instrument and amplifier and you'll get a responsive boutique sound out of any setup. And what's more, the natural compression and sound improvement of the MF Boost automatically draw the best possible performance from your other effect pedals.

Moog MF Boost: two independent boost circuits

Like most boost pedals, the Moog Minifooger MF Boost has controls for Gain, Tone and Level. Unlike other pedals, however, the MF Boost features a double boost function. Turn the switch down, and the pedal operates in VCA mode for a clean, articulated and subtle 6dB boost - basically serving as a pedal-sized boutique amplifier. Turn the switch up, and you activate the OTA circuit, which delivers a 12dB boost and a creamy, classic tone. In OTA mode, the Moog MF Boost Minifooger supplies your (bass) guitar and amp with anything ranging from a subtle bite and drive to singing leads.

CV input for an expression pedal

As a real Moog, the MF Boost Minifooger is equipped with a CV (Controller Voltage) input. Plug in an optional expression pedal (Moog EP2) and you're granted hands-free access to the gain control. At minimum gain settings, the expression pedal serves as a volume pedal. With gain at mid position and the pedal set to OTA mode, you can steplessly and musically switch between two boost levels. Set the gain to maximum and the expression pedal offers you 12 dB of additional gain in VCA mode and no less than 18 dB in OTA mode.
