The Marshall Stanmore Pitch Black did get its moniker for a good reason. There's no silver lining or gold-coloured details, everything down to the switches is painted black, black as night. It may be obvious that the 35 x 19 cm speaker's design was inspired by classic Marshall guitar amplifiers. There's the characteristic vinyl coating and the striking logo, as well as the vintage-amp-style controls and grille cloth. The Stanmore is exceptionally easy to use. Plug it in to the mains, take out your smartphone or tablet and pair them to the speaker via Bluetooth. You can now wirelessly enjoy your playlist over this remarkably powerful, detailed, deep and clear sounding 80W Marshall product's 5.25-inch woofer and 0.75-in tweeters. You can also connect your devices via the beautiful curled 3.5mm cord or using the familiar red and white RCA connectors. What's more, the speaker even features a digital optic input for an (Apple) TV, for instance. Whichever option you choose, you can subsequently adjust the overall tone with the Stanmore's volume, bass and treble controls.
