For 2014, Jackson has given its Pro Series King V a makeover. The result: this transparent red KVTQ. This latest edition really stands out because of its beautiful quilted maple top. This King V now also features a Tune-O-Matic bridge with a strings-through-body instead of a Floyd Rose tremolo. The black hardware has been replaced by black nickel. The KVTQ not only has the looks of a more expensive USA model, it's also fitted with high-end components, including two Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers.
Jackson KVTQ: neck-through-construction
The Jackson KVTQ Pro Series King V is made of alder and has a maple neck that runs through the entire length of the body. This neck-through construction gives the guitar a tight, direct tone with extra long sustain. The neck has been reinforced with graphite making it feel very strong and stable. The ebony fretboard has been decorated with typical Jackson shark fins. This fretboard has a compound radius, meaning it's convex at the string nut and flattens towards the body. As a result, catching chords on the lower positions and bending strings at the higher positions without causing any buzzing, becomes really easy.

The renowned American Jackson Guitars brand was founded in 1980 by Grover Jackson and rose to fame with its customised V-guitar for Randy Rhoads. Today, many famous guitarists play a Jackson. Jackson guitars have an elegant design, a sharp headstock, shark fin position markers and a powerful sound which is perfect for metal and hard rock. The Pro Series features many of the specifications of the handmade USA series, but comes at a much more affordable price.
