The Jackson KVMGQ has returned in 2014 with a new pickup configuration and goes by the new name Jackson KVQ. The active EMGs have been replaced by passive Seymour Duncan pickups. At the bridge as well as at the neck you can now find a Distortion humbucker with zebra colours. The KVQ is known for its appealing quilted maple top in the colour Transparent Amber. The guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, allowing for those deep dive bombs and screaming harmonics, without detuning one single string.
Jackson KVQ: high-end construction
This metal machine from the Jackson Pro Series is made of alder in order to get a full, balanced tone. The maple neck has 24 frets and runs through the entire length of the body (neck-through) for a tight, direct sound with extra sustain. The neck has been reinforced with graphite so that it remains straight and stable under any weather condition and at any temperature. In the ebony fretboard you can find those typical Jackson shark fin inlays. In order to catch your chords comfortably at the low positions as well as to bend the strings at the higher positions, the fretboard has a compound radius that is 12 inches at the string nut and widens to 16 inches.
Jackson Guitars
The renowned American Jackson Guitars brand was founded in 1980 by Grover Jackson and rose to fame with its customised V-guitar for Randy Rhoads. Today, many famous guitarists play a Jackson. Jackson guitars have an elegant design, a sharp headstock, shark fin position markers and a powerful sound which is perfect for metal and hard rock. The Pro Series features many of the specifications of the handmade USA series, but comes at a much more affordable price.
