The Jim Dandy Flat Top offers, in the words of Gretsch, "crackerjack quality for a sober price." 'Jim Dandy' is an old American-English expression that is used to refer to someone or something of outstanding quality. The fact that Gretsch has chosen this particular phrase for their guitar is a clear indication of its close connection to the typically American folk and roots music. The Jim Dandy Flat Top pays homage to the legendary Gretsch Rex models from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, and is made of carefully selected wood types that ensure a warm, pleasant sound. Only a limited number of this striking Blue Sunburst edition of the Jim Dandy guitar have been manufactured.
Construction of the Gretsch G9520 Jim Dandy Blue Sunburst
This special run G9520 Jim Dandy Flat Top has a remarkable Blue Sunburst finish and a white pickguard, adorned with a graceful Gretsch logo. The top, sides and back of the guitar have been fashioned from agathis, a wood type with similar characteristics as mahogany that produces a warm sound. The C-shaped neck is made of nato, while the rosewood fingerboard - equipped with four large position markers and 18 vintage-style frets - makes the guitar comfortable and easy to play. In short, this Gretsch Guitars G9520 Limited Edition Jim Dandy Flat Top with its gorgeous Blue Sunburst finish delivers a pleasantly warm tone for a very attractive price.
