Allmänt
The Limited Edition Crimson Red Transparent Fender Telecaster owes its remarkable looks to its special finish. Its body was first given a black base coat and then covered with a transparent red lacquer. Subsequently, the body was sand blasted to really bring out the beautiful grain of the ash. As each piece of wood has its own unique grain pattern, each of these guitars is effectively unique. The combination of wood types and hardware also isn't very common among Fender instruments.
Construction
Telecasters with an ash body are popular instruments, as ash allows for a sound that isn't as rich on mids and thus emphasises trebles and bass sounds. Additionally, ash is known for its particular grain structure, which is perfect for this sandblasted finish. Naturally, the maple neck is bolted on and features a maple fretboard with 22 frets. The bridge is a 3-saddle, strings-through-body bridge with brass saddles that greatly contribute to the distinct Tele twang.
Grease Bucket Circuit
Two American Standard single-coil Tele pickups handle the amplification. The neck pickup is elegantly covered with a 'lipstick' cover. Additionally, the Greasebucket tone circuit on this guitar is perfect for guitarists who feel they have too much treble in their playing as it allows you to tune down the high frequencies without adding bass. Where the sound would normally become muddy when you turn down the trebles, the Greasebucket circuit keeps it nicely tight and defined.
