Allmänt
At the end of 2014, Fender introduced the American Standard Telecaster HH. A modern Tele that combines the classic looks and modern playing comfort of the American Standard Telecaster with a double humbucker configuration. This Limited Edition Olympic White version was presented to consumers at the NAMM 2015. On paper, altering the position markers might not seem like much, but paperwork can be deceiving, as the square pearloid inlays make this exceptional Tele look remarkably stylish. As this is a Limited Edition, it's like an 18 carat goldfish - very exclusive!
American Standard Telecaster HH
This version of the American Standard Telecaster is equipped with two exceptionally powerful Fender Twin Head humbuckers. The covered pickup at the neck produces a powerful, rich and warm sound while the bridge pickup has a bit more bite and a slightly higher output. Square pearloid inlays adorn the rosewood fretboard, which in turn adds some warmth to the overall sound. The neck is one of the most-appreciated properties of the American Standard series. The maple neck offers you immense playing comfort thanks to 22 medium jumbo frets, a (flatter) 9.5-inch fretboard radius and a Bi-Flex (two-way) truss rod system. The latter allows for a very low string action without buzzing.
American Standard upgrades
The classic, beloved design of the Telecaster has received various adaptations now it's part of the American Standard series, but all without being detrimental to the original model's attraction. The difficult-to-tune 3-saddle bridge is replaced by a Strat-style bridge with six individually adjustable saddles. The bridge is attached to the body with no fewer than 5 screws, creating an even better transference to the lightweight alder body. What remains is the distinctive Telecaster strings-through-body construction. Additionally, the body features a contour so that it rests against your body comfortably while playing.
