Allmänt

Power amplifiers have always been heavy. That makes sense, due to their large transformers and heat sinks. The new EPX amplifiers, however, are based on revolutionary switch-mode power supply technology. This means a heavy transformer is no longer required. Consequently, these amplifiers weigh 40% less than their conventional counterparts.

Europower EPX4000: ultra-lightweight and reliable
The EPX2800 and EPX4000 weigh no more than 10.1 kg. You could almost lift them with a single finger! Best of all, however, is the great reliability of these EPX amplifiers. They offer an even tighter bass reproduction than their predecessors, because they can handle high peak powers when required.

EPX amps: a class of their own
The secret to the amazing power/weight ratio of the EPX series is the use of a switch-mode power supply, combined with class-H topology. These amplifiers only work when required, instead of operating at full power continuously. As such, switch-mode powered amps are much more efficient than conventional power amps. They are smaller in size and lighter of weight too!
