The iPad Air 2 owes its impressive speed to the A8X processor, which is 40% faster than the A7X processor featured in the previous model. That’s because the designers succeeded in reducing the previously three-layer Retina screen to one single layer. Not only does that result in a flatter display, but it means that you also get more lively colours and a higher contrast.
