With the fast iPad Air 2, Apple seems to have achieved their original goal in producing a minimalistic tablet that wields tremendous power. What's better is that they achieved it while simultaneously upgrading the iPad Air to have an even thinner design! They did it by reducing the three-layer Retina screen to one layer, which also worked to produce livelier colours and better contrast. Furthermore, thanks to the anti-reflective coating, the comfy 9.7-inch screen boasted the least amount of glare in the tablet world at the time it was released. This particular model has a silver back with a white front, as well as 4G functionality and 16 GB of storage space.

Weighing in at 0.98 lbs, the Wi-Fi + Cellular model of the iPad Air 2 is even lighter than its 1lb predecessor, not to mention that it's 64-bit processor is 40% faster and the graphic performance is 2.5 times faster. Even with all the improvements, the battery still lasts for 10 hours. Another new feature that's gotten a lot of attention is the Touch ID, which allows you to secure your iPad with your fingerprint. Touch ID is also excellent for making secure purchases from iTunes, iBooks and the App Store. Furthermore, the cameras have also been improved with new sensors to perform better in situations with less light. The wireless internet performs better as well, with Wi-Fi that is twice as fast and faster 4G technology too.
New standard with iOS 8
The iPad Air 2 comes with the iOS 8 operating system. iOS 8 was designed to work seamlessly with the powerful AX8 processor, fast wireless technology, and the impressive Retina screen. There are a number of new functions such as Continuity, which makes it easy to continue with a project on another device. You can also save all kinds of documents online on the iCloud Drive as well as share films, books, music and apps with up to six other devices (Family Sharing). A number of new and improved apps also come with the device, from email and internet, to video chat and navigation, to an iBook reader and a calendar. Of course, there are also countless other free apps that you can download from the App Store.
