Allmänt

This Absolute Hybrid Maple shell set consists of a 22-inch bass drum, two toms measuring 10 and 12 inches each and a 16-inch floor tom. With a large 22-inch bass drum, this is a true rock configuration that allows for expressive playing, and thanks to the Jade Green Sparkle finish, it looks expressive too. The shells consist of 6 layers of warm maple with a layer of wenge in the middle for a broad dynamic range, so no matter what your style is, every beat you make on this Jade Green Sparkle shell set will be warm and clear with excellent projection.

Bearing edges

Yamaha put a lot of thought into the bearing edges of this shell set, because the contact between the bearing edge and the drumhead is essential for sound transmission. In order to give the bass drum good, clear low frequencies, it has a 30-degree bearing edge. Yamaha designed the toms with 45-degree bearing edges for a nice balanced tone from each tom.

Drumheads

Along with bearing edges, the drum heads, of course, also have a huge influence on the sound. That's why Yamaha equipped with Hybrid Maple series with Remo drum heads. For years Remo has been known as the go-to manufacturer when it comes to drum heads, and you won't be disappointed. The bass drum is equipped with Powerstroke 3 series drum heads with a subtle dampening effect, and the Remo Clear Emperor drum heads on the toms ensure a bright sound. The bass drum head is easy to swap, thanks to the special hook lugs, and the tom holder is extra lightweight for optimal resonance from the bass drum.
