The shells of this four-piece rock set are made of 7-ply mahogany, a rugged wood type that is often used for instruments due to its warm sound characteristics and excellent resonating qualities. The 30-degree bearing edges of the Catalina Club 2014 shells increase the resonating ability of the mahogany, delivering that unique Gretsch sound. This Catalina Club 2014 White Chocolate rock shell set sports a number of new features, including its Catalina mini lugs.
