At Gretsch, innovation and improvement are always high on the agenda. The Catalina Club 2014 series can attest to that. The 2014 shell sets are of a typically high Gretsch quality and come in various configurations and colours. This four-part jazz shell set comprises an 18-inch bass drum, a 12-inch tom, a 14-inch floor tom and a snare drum of 14 by 5.5 inches. It features the same characteristics as the classic drum kits from the 1950s, enabling you to create a compact and original jazz setup.
Gretsch Catalina Club 2014 White Chocolate: 7-ply mahogany shells
The shells of this four-part jazz set are made of 7-ply mahogany, a wood type that provides a warm sound and optimal resonance. The 30-degree bearing edges increase the resonating ability of the shells and deliver that unique Gretsch sound. Equipped with a traditional 18-inch Be-bop bass drum, this set is not only ideal for jazz, but can also be used for many other types of music. The Catalina Club 2014 White Chocolate is a remarkably compact set, which means it's very practical for small gigs and rehearsal sessions.
New style
This Catalina Club 2014 shell set features a number of interesting improvements. It is fitted with Catalina mini lugs and the bass drum is equipped with a round badge-style clamp with memory lock. The new Catalina tom brackets of the 2014 drum kit series feature improved, great-looking T-shaped wingnuts and offer room for an optional 7/8-inch cymbal arm. The hardware is made of durable metal; it is evident that Gretsch value high-quality materials. The floor tom of this Catalina Club 2014 White Chocolate shell set is equipped with three adjustable legs, which are fitted with anti-slip rubber caps.
