If you're a guitarist, you can't help but move around the stage. Getting wrapped up or tripping over your cables can kind of get in the way of your performance. Fortunately, Shure offers the GLXD16 wireless system, which digitally transmits your (bass) guitar output to a receiver, granting you total freedom of movement within a range of up to 60-metres. The system consists of a GLXD6 pedal receiver with a built-in tuner, a GLXD1 bodypack and a matching 0.7m guitar cable (the WA305). Install the receiver on your pedal board, and once hooked up, the digital system automatically selects an optimal frequency, ensuring crystal-clear sound.
Shure GLX-D6 Receiver
The GLXD6 is a compact digital receiver that neatly fits on your pedalboard and transmits the incoming signal to your guitar effects using a rear-mounted jack output. A frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hz makes sure that the entire sound spectrum is transmitted, using the 2.4GHz frequency band for world-wide, interference-free reception. The pedal receiver is complete with a chromatic tuner, and bright LEDs keep you posted on the signal status, current frequency and the remaining battery life of the bodypack transmitter.
Shure GLX-D1 Transmitter
Shure's GLXD1 transmitter is powered by a powerful lithium-ion battery, allowing you to perform for sixteen consecutive hours. Once it runs out of juice, it only needs a short, 15-minute charging session to last for another hour and a half. Thanks to the LINKFREQ system, you won't have to worry about setting the right frequency since it'll do it automatically. Should any interference occur, it automatically searches for a better frequency band. Use the included WA305 instrument cable to directly connect your guitar to the GLXD1 transmitter.
