Shure's BLX24 - Beta 58A includes a BLX4 receiver and BLX2 transmitter with Beta 58A mic head. A wireless analogue handheld set that offers professional sound at an excellent price. The transmitter and receiver use the UHF band to communicate and are easily synced. All of the set's components boast a rugged yet lightweight design.
The Shure BLX2 Handheld Transmitter with a Beta 58A Microphone Capsule
Shure's BLX2 is a sturdy UHF handheld transmitter with a lightweight, hard plastic housing and an impressive maximum range of 90 metres. Two AA batteries are all you need to keep it powered for up to fourteen hours and the BLX2 transmitter is fitted with the head of a Beta 58A microphone - a popular mic often found onstage at concerts and festivals due to its outstanding and dependable, audio characteristics. The Beta 58A capsule has a super-cardioid pickup pattern and a wide frequency range, which means it's capable of beautifully capturing your voice without feedback.
The Shure BLX4 Receiver
Of course, a transmitter is nothing without a receiver. To go with your BLX2, Shure has included the BLX4: a compact receiver with powerful internal antennas that don't require any manual adjustments to ensure optimal reception. Shure's QuickScan function - which is capable of finding an available channel, even if there's a lot of bandwidth traffic - ensures a reliable wireless connection between the handheld transmitter and the receiver. The output signal of your receiver can be sent to a PA mixer via an XLR or 1/4" jack connector.
