Allmänt
The Yamaha MX49 is a compact yet powerful synthesizer with 49 keys. It offers more than 1,000 sounds directly from the MOTIF XS synthesizers, plus excellent vintage style effects (VCM). Of course, as with any good synth, you can expand the sounds to suit your needs. Also notable is the outstanding integration with DAW software, such as Cubase, Sonar and Logic Pro. The MX49 allows you to effortlessly control these as well as the VST plugins used in these programs!
MX-49: a powerful solo-instrument
In many ways, the Yamaha MX-49 Music Synthesizer is a true solo instrument. Connect the synthesizer to your computer via the USB connection and you can create elaborate arrangements with great ease of operation. The synth can even serve as a high-quality audio interface or external sound card! Listen back to audio from your PC or Mac via the audio or headphone outputs. The MX-49 has 128-note polyphony and can play 16 parts simultaneously.
Connections and software
The MX-49 is equipped with many various inputs and outputs including a MIDI IN/OUT, AUX-in (mini-jack), line-out (2x 6.3 mm) and 2x USB (computer and memory). Additionally, the MX49 is one of the only synths in its price class that comes with a plug-and-play software package. Along with the Steinberg Cubase AI for playing and editing music, Steinberg Prologue and Yamaha YC-3B are also included. The latter being VSTs that will help you get a solid start in music production.

Clavier avec des touches trop petites, toucher nullissime, sons sympa pour certains mais sans aucune âme, trop froid et numérique. Des tas d'options sans aucun intérêt (arpégiateurs non programmables, patterns rythmiques non programmables, set-up pour les démos en magasin).
La machine sans doute idéale pour le musicien itinérant qui veut un truc léger... un outil en plastique genre couteau suisse pour un déplacement sac à dos.
Bof ! Une machine qui ne fait pas rêver, elle n'est pas faite pour ça. Une sorte d'expandeur artificiellement limité pour ne pas concurrencer les autres modèles, avec un petit clavier plastoc.
