Waldorf may be primarily known for their compact synths, but the Quantum is a fully-fledged polysynthesizer that is packed full of sounds and possibilities. The housing is stylish and the on-board controls are well laid out, giving this synth an organised look. It's a hybrid synthesizer which means that it gets its sounds from both analogue and digital sources for the best of both worlds. The polyphonic sound is generated by three oscillators, the waveform of which can be changed to granular.
The Waldorf Quantum has got it all
There are plenty of options for shaping the generated sounds so that you can come up with something truly unique. To do so, you can make use of the three double-analogue filters, six envelopes, three digital effects, six LFOs and the arpeggiator. The touch display makes it even easier and quicker to scroll through many of the options. If you're looking for an ultra-modern synth that can do it all, the Waldorf Quantum polysynthesizer should not be overlooked.
