The Moog CP 251 control processor is a collection of classic modular synthesizer circuits, designed by Bob Moog himself. It enables you to make the most of your synthesizers, creating the most outrageous sounds, using the VC output of your synth or any other effect device that features a VC output, such as a Moogerfooger.
A modular analogue synthesizer provides you with two types of signals: audio and control signals. An audio signal is processed by means of a synthesizer circuit, which shapes it into the sound you want. A control signal, on the other hand, corresponds to the sound variations that are conveyed by the synthesizer module. With the CP 251, you're able to generate sounds with the same power as the old analogue Moog modular synthesizers.
The CP 251 features a dual waveform LFO, a noise generator, sample and hold circuits, two attenuators, a lag processor, a CV mixer and a 4-way mult. Combined, they allow you to modify, mix and distribute voltage-controlled signals to create the wide range of sounds that analogue synthesizers are known and loved for.
