With the SU20, Meinl delivers a surdo with a very traditional look. This surdo is not made of steel as was usual in the past, but rather extra lightweight thanks to the aluminium used. The sheet has a diameter of 20 inches and features a light damping. An embossed pattern on the upper and lower sides provides an authentic character. An excellent surdo suitable for samba parades.
Meinl SU20: good projection
The aluminium used ensures not only easy transport of the surdo but also excellent sound projection. All shell hardware has been given a chromed finish and the Meinl logo adorns the front. With the included tuning spanner, you effortlessly tighten the countersunk tensioning bolts. THE SU20 is excellent for playing the middle surdo part: the respondor. Give full bass strokes and add a deep sound to any samba performance.
