Is it a floortom or something else after all? With the SU16-L-AB-M, Meinl delivers a surdo that somewhat resembles a floortom. A surdo originates from Brazil and is frequently used in samba music. This compact 16 x 20-inch surdo features handy legs. This allows you to integrate the instrument into your drum set-up. Add a full and deep sound to your kit or use this drum in a percussion group. The shell is composed of 6 layers of hardwood which provides a warm timbre. A universally applicable surdo for the enthusiastic percussionist.

The surdo is used in samba music to set the beat. Dull deep beats keep the whole samba band playing well in tempo. Recessed tension bolts ensure that you are not hindered while playing. The kettle lacquer has been given a chic dark brown finish which nicely complements the chrome details. Thanks to the 20-inch shell height, you can effortlessly integrate this surdo into various set-ups. Of course, you can adjust the playing height to your liking.
