Allmänt

Adam's S7A MKII is the larger counterpart of the S6X, which makes it Adam's most impressive studio monitor to date. It boasts 1500 watts of built-in output power (RMS). This monitor reaches peaks of up to 128 dB (SPL) at a distance of 1 metre. The large bass diaphragms produce more volume, even at the lowest points up to 20 Hz. Each of the 15-inch subwoofers are driven by a 500-watt RMS, and the 250-watt RMS units drive all the other frequency bands.

It's equipped with every bit of technology Adam have ever developed, and is made up of the best materials available. This combination of output, features and accuracy results in a monitor that boasts unparalleled performance. The S7A MKII is Adams contribution to the best studio monitors in the world.

Front panel features

There are various controls on the front panel that introduce new ways of operating your monitor. As well as inputs amplification, there are also level controls for each of the four drivers and shelving filters for both ends of the entire frequency range. There are three complete parametric equalizers (20 - 200 Hz) for conquering vertical waves. The equalizers can be bypassed individually or as a group, and the total effect can be analysed in direct comparison to the non-influenced signal.

In large mixing rooms for film, it's often desirable to have an exact copy of the sound in the movie theatre, ensuring the best possible result. In order to meet the ISO 2969 standard, you can apply the Dolby X curve. With pink noise, the X-curve tackles 3 dB per octave roll-off above the 2 kHz. The S7A has a switch to activate this filter, so you don't need to use extra processors during the mix. A second switch is an input on the front that's suitable for connecting extra equipment. For full customisation possibilities, the LED indicators can even be dimmed separately.
