The S4X-H combines the X-ART tweeter with the 5-inch HexaCone midrange and two revamped 9-inch HexaCone woofers. The drivers of both woofers and the mid-woofer are each driven by a 250-watt ICE module. The monitor is equipped with a unique Adam-engineered Class-A/B amplifier, which boasts very little distortion and an immense internal bandwidth of more than 1 MHz. When the amp is combined with the X-ART tweeter, the result is a fascinating sound with the highest possible resolution.
The S4X-H can be used in any space
Poorly-designed monitors of this size run the risk of adding too much bass to the mix, but just like all Adam monitors, the S4X is equipped with the solution to this common problem. The capacity and volume (28 Hz @ -3dB point) are combined with the highest possible precision. Add to that the transparent high and mid frequencies, and you've got level of audio quality that simply can't be beat!
Front panel features
Adam's innovative front panel features sophisticated controls so you can adjust the monitors to the acoustics of the room with great accuracy. As well as a standby button, there are also two buttons for input sensitivity, two for the bass section and another two for the high frequencies.
