The Blue Ember is a compact condenser microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern, perfect for live streaming and podcasts. It not only sounds amazing, it looks the part too. Use its detailed and open sound character to record (acoustic) instruments, such as guitars, bowed-string instruments and pianos. And don't be afraid to suspend it over your guitar amp or drum kit, since the Blue Ember is capable of handling large amounts of sound pressure while maintaining excellent sound quality.

This is a lot of mic for the money. It sounds natural and smooth, without the nasty high end a lot of cheap condensers have - so far it's worked well on everything I've put it in front of - vocals, amps, acoustic guitar, drum room. Build quality is fantastic too. I kinda wish it had a shockmount, but at this price I'm fine with the normal one. The only real down side is how long it is, which can make it a bit awkward to position.
