This large-diaphragm condenser microphone comes fitted out with a CKR12 ceramic capsule — and yes, the 12 refers to a certain legendary capsule, making the OC-S10 a modern reincarnation of a classic mic from the 20th century.

The Austrian Audio OC-S10: Familiar Sound and Modern Functions

The OC-S10 gives you the pick of no less than five pickup patterns, including a special double cardioid setting that, when selected, enables you to record both diaphragms of the built-in dual-capsule separately. This is also why Austrian Audio have installed two XLR outputs, and it's why this high-end studio microphone is perfect for engineers who demand maximum versatility. You can even select a different pickup pattern after you're already done recording. Download the free PolarDesigner plugin and you can seamlessly morph your recordings from omni to bidirectional or any other polar pattern. What's more, since the OC-S10 is basically two microphones in one, it also supports M-S stereo recordings. Just download the free StereoCreator plugin and it'll take care of the routing for you.
