Allmänt
You may have noticed that clip-on tuners have become increasingly popular lately. Lots of guitarists have already traded in their stomp box tuner for a clip-on one, in fact. A clip-on tuner doesn't take up any space on your pedal board and is suitable for both acoustic and electric instruments. This is the Snark SN-1, a chromatic clip-on tuner with a clear display, built-in metronome, and pitch calibration. Its piezo technology analyses the vibrations from your instrument in order to provide an accurate tuning.
Possibilities
The Snark SN-1 is chromatic, which means it's suitable for both guitar and bass, as well as alternative tunings. It also features a calibration function that allows you to change the reference frequency (standard 440 Hz) to anywhere between 415 and 466 Hz. This is ideal in the studio, for instance, where the recorded frequency differs from the standard. The built-in metronome with tap tempo is a function that's also handy to have.
Attachment and display
This Snark tuner features a Stay Put clamp that keeps it securely in place while you're playing. Its display can be rotated 360 degrees, allowing for flexible placement, and making the tuner suitable for both left-handed and right-handed players. The display is full colour and clearly backlit so you can also use it on dark stages or by the camp fire. To protect it during transport, a pouch is included as well.
