The C12S splash comes from the expansive, yet very affordable Classics series from German cymbal manufacturer Meinl. It's a 12-inch splash that is made of B8 bronze, which contains 92% copper and 8% tin. This cymbal was carefully manufactured through a computerised process, to give it a precise and stable sound.

For a splash cymbal, 12 inches is quite large. Combine that with the B8 bronze alloy, and you get a cymbal with a sharp, crisp sound. Furthermore, like any good splash, its attack is very fast, while its sustain is short. The overall timbre is very bright and open, so that the Meinl Classics C12S allows you to punctuate certain beats with clearly audible accents that will fit in well with a wide variety of genres.
