A unique feature of this BT201/1 small-diaphragm microphone by JZ Microphones is that its capsules are interchangeable. This enables you to quickly change the directional characteristic of your mic, depending on the situation. You can choose between omnidirectional, open cardioid or open cardioid with an attenuation of -20 dB. What's more, the BT201 series mic has a unique shape that was designed to optimally capture the audio source with whichever pickup pattern you choose. The -20 dB attenuation is especially handy when you want a low signal without sacrificing any low or high frequencies. Normally, there would be a switch on the microphone to do this, but with the BT201, JZ Microphones opted for interchangeable capsules to get the job done.
JZ Microphones
All JZ Microphones are made with class A electronics and components that are crafted and tested by hand, resulting in a pure audio signal before it even reaches your recording equipment. On top of that, electronics that are soldered by hand are resistant to overheating. At this time, JZ's Vintage series microphones do not have tubes. The internal circuitry is designed to function perfectly without them but able to emulate the characteristic sound of a tube mic. These mics don't contain any converters either, which makes them virtually noise-free.
